Well done Michele! I'm also working to get some of my first publication credits but I have to say that you started off with a bang! For a short piece, this was very rich with lots of depth. I enjoyed it a lot!

This is one of the more horrible stories that I have heard through this podcast, and I mean that in only the best way possible. I do hope that one of these days stories about this kind of strange intolerance will be of nothing more than historical fiction, but for now I hear all too many echoes of our own recent past.

Excellent disturbing work by the author.

The music in this episode? Not so much a fan.

Blood and Bloody Ashes, was this story! The narration blended seamlessly with the musical effects, and the lines cascaded down the mountain like an avalanche.

"Scarecrow" will never get out of my head. I'm going to tell everyone I know to come and listen.

A truly disturbing story, showing that the hatred that dwells in the heart of humankind is the origin of it's most horrific acts.

That fence is a sad, lonely place. I hope that peace and comfort were granted to that tortured young man.

I had come out barely a month before that sad event, this story hit me like a sucker punch.

Not sure if bravo is the correct praise but a good flash story. Thank you.

A true horror piece. Wonderful. And horrible. And an awesome atmosphere between the reading and the background music/effects.
More please.

Shocking. Horrible. As a gay man living in the United States who is devastated to hear hate crimes are still occurring in our country, this story has truly disturbed me. Which is exactly what a good horror story should do. Thank you pseudopod for posting a story with a gay character, and a subject matter that'll not only disturb people, but also cause them to think.
